We have successfully completed a wide range of projects, ranging from residential home construction to multi-story mixed use buildings. These successful projects speak to our deep understanding of the local soils and our ability to provide reliable, safe geotechnical engineering services that meet the needs of our clients.

What We Do

  • Geotechnical Services for Residential and Commercial Construction

    Geotechnical investigation and reporting for a given project, typically assigning soil parameters such as allowable bearing capacity and lateral earth pressures, seismic site class, comment on estimated settlement, as well as recommendations for foundation excavations and construction.

  • Slope Stability Assessments

    Assessment of existing or proposed slopes with respect to slope stability. Typically involving site investigation and sample collection/testing, as well as reporting discussing the stability of a given slope. Slope stability assessments are often related to proposed construction activities at the crest or toe of a given slope.

  • Flood Assessments

    Assessment of flood risk for a given area within a watershed. Typically involving site investigation and sample collection/testing, as well as reporting discussing the flood risk (if any) for an area of interest.

  • Retaining Wall Design

    We specialize in the design of various types of earth retaining structures including Geosynthetic Mechanically-Stabilized Earth, Pre-cast Concrete Block, Gabion Basket, and others. We also often work with Structural Consultants to provide lateral earth pressures, confirm bearing capacity, and conduct slope stability analyses for cast-in-place and other types of earth retaining structures designed by Structural Engineers.

  • UAV (Drone) Survey

    We use state of the art LiDAR and Photogrammetry equipment and software which facilitates high-efficiency survey of large, densely vegetated, and difficult to reach areas. When absolute accuracy requirements dictate, we also conduct ground-based survey via traditional GNSS (GPS) methods which are integrated with the UAV flight data in order to provide deliverables in corrected geoid (Orthometric) elevations. For legal survey requirements, we are happy to refer our local community partners upon request. All operators possess Transport Canada Advanced Drone Operator certificates.
